Technology services for public programs.
We build and modernize the systems public programs run on: integration between tools that don't share data, updated infrastructure, software built around how your staff work, and security practices for sensitive public data.
We operate public programs every day
Our own service-delivery work involves invoicing public agencies, tracking service mandates, and preparing for records audits, every week. That experience shapes how we build software: we know how session documentation gets done, what a reporting deadline requires of staff, and where data gets lost between systems.
Each technology engagement starts with the program's workflow. We map how information moves (referrals, schedules, session records, invoices, reports), find where it breaks, and then build or integrate the smallest system that fixes it. We do not replace a platform without a clear reason, and we do not recommend licenses you don't need.
Four technology services
Engagements are scoped to the program's workflow. Each service below can be used on its own or combined with the others.
IT Systems Integration
Explore this service: IT Systems IntegrationPublic programs often run on several separate systems, such as a scheduling tool, a billing export, and a state portal that accepts only one file format. We connect them so data is entered once and reaches every system that needs it, with an audit trail at each step.
- Workflow and data-flow mapping
- System-to-system interface design
- Data migration with validation
- Documentation and staff handover
Cloud Migration & Infrastructure
Explore this service: Cloud Migration & InfrastructureWe move aging on-premise systems to cloud infrastructure in stages: an inventory first, then a phased migration that keeps the program running, then decommissioning with records preserved. Cost tracking and access control are part of the design from the start.
- Current-state inventory and readiness review
- Phased migration with rollback plans
- Access control and backup design
- Right-sized hosting, reviewed quarterly
Custom Software Solutions
Explore this service: Custom Software SolutionsWhen off-the-shelf tools don't fit how a program works, we build the missing piece (intake forms, provider portals, reporting dashboards, document pipelines) using the program's own terms and rules, and we document it so any future team can maintain it.
- Requirements drawn from staff workflows
- Accessible, plain-language interfaces
- Reporting aligned to funder formats
- Code your team can maintain
Security & Compliance Support
Explore this service: Security & Compliance SupportPrograms that handle student records and health information have specific obligations. We help organizations align their technology practices with the frameworks that govern their data: FERPA and HIPAA awareness, clear access policies, and the documentation an auditor will ask for.
- Data-handling and access reviews
- Alignment with applicable frameworks
- Incident response planning
- Plain-English security policies
How an engagement works
Changes to a program's technology cannot interrupt the program's services. Every engagement follows the same steps:
Map the workflow
We sit with the people doing the work and document how information moves, including the workarounds.
Fix one problem first
The first deliverable is always a working fix to one specific problem, not a strategy document.
Phase the rollout
Changes are released in stages with rollback plans, scheduled around the program calendar and never close to a reporting deadline.
Hand over to your team
Documentation, training, and admin access transfer to your team. Your team can run it without us.
Common questions
How do you handle sensitive data (student records, health information)?
We plan for data sensitivity from the start of the design. Systems that touch student records are designed with FERPA obligations in mind, and anything carrying health-related information is handled with HIPAA-aware safeguards. Access is role-based, logged, and reviewed, and we document data-handling decisions so your team can answer an auditor's questions without us.
Can you work with the systems we already have?
Yes. Most engagements integrate or extend existing tools rather than replace them. We start by listing what you have, what it costs, and what it does. We recommend replacing a system only when it is unsafe, unsupported, or cheaper to retire.
How do you minimize disruption during a migration?
We roll out in phases with rollback plans, scheduled around your program calendar. The old system stays live until the new one has handled your own work correctly, and we never schedule a cutover near a reporting deadline or the start of a school year. Staff train on your own data before go-live.
Do you provide support after the build is done?
Yes. We offer ongoing maintenance and support scoped to what you need, from quarterly check-ins to active monitoring. Every build also comes with documentation and training so your own team can run it without depending on us.
Tell us what isn't working.
Describe the problem, such as double data entry, a report that takes a week to produce, or a portal staff don't rely on.
