Student Counseling

Licensed school-based counselors provide individual and group support for students’ emotional and behavioral needs. We work with school teams and track progress. When counseling is on a student’s IEP/IESP and approved by the district, services are typically at no cost to families.

Specialized Counseling for Students with Emotional & Behavioral Needs

Counseling helps students reduce barriers to learning through targeted therapeutic support in the school setting. Licensed providers coordinate with families, teachers, and administrators so interventions align with the student's IESP/IEP and daily classroom needs.

With this service, we provide:

  • Individual and group counseling delivered by licensed LCSWs and LMHCs
  • Evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT-informed care, play therapy, family-involved approaches, trauma-informed practices)
  • Clinical screenings and participation in school-based evaluations to inform treatment planning

Who provides the counseling?

Knowledge Road partners with Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs). Providers are credentialed and trained in child and adolescent therapy.
