Your Guide Through the Early Intervention Journey

The Early Intervention (EI) system can feel complex. At Knowledge Road, a service coordinator walks with your family from the first intake call through launching services and reviewing progress. We help you move quickly from evaluation to services your child qualifies for—such as speech, occupational or physical therapy, ABA, or other developmental supports.

With this service, we provide:

  • Intake and family consultation explaining EI eligibility, timelines, and required paperwork
  • Scheduling and referrals for evaluations; connection to appropriate providers
  • IFSP development with families and providers to set clear, measurable goals
  • Ongoing support to troubleshoot scheduling, transportation, and authorization issues
  • Regular check-ins to review progress and update plans as needs change

This service is designed to:

  • Simplify each step so families understand the process
  • Reduce wait time from referral to services
  • Coordinate planning across disciplines for a unified approach
  • Offer continued guidance, advocacy, and adjustments as your child grows

Why This Service Matters

EI is most effective when it's coordinated and responsive. A dedicated coordinator provides the clarity, speed, and advocacy families need so every part of a child's support plan works together—from the first evaluation to transition out of the program.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Early Intervention Service Coordinator?

A coordinator is your primary contact throughout EI. They help navigate evaluations, eligibility, service planning, and connect your child with qualified providers as soon as services are authorized.

How does service coordination work?

We follow a simple sequence: welcome call → evaluation scheduling → IFSP meeting → service launch → ongoing reviews. Your coordinator manages logistics and keeps you informed at every step.

What if I need to change services or schedules?

Your coordinator is your advocate. They can help adjust schedules, add or modify services, update goals, and resolve issues that arise during your child's EI journey.
