Individual ABA Therapy

Individual ABA Therapy provides one-on-one instruction tailored to each child's goals. Using well-established, evidence-based techniques, we focus on communication, social, academic, and daily living skills—and track progress with data. When authorized by a school district/DOE, services are provided at no cost to eligible families. Sessions can occur in school, at home, in the community, or virtually.

Helping Children Build Skills for Life

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach for teaching new skills and reducing behaviors that interfere with learning. In our Individual ABA Therapy program, every child receives a treatment plan developed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Sessions are structured, engaging, and adjusted to the child's needs—whether the focus is building communication, increasing independence, or strengthening social interaction. Instruction blends targeted teaching with real-world practice so skills carry over to everyday routines.

With this service, we provide:

  • One-on-one sessions with a trained ABA therapist
  • Individualized treatment plans aligned to developmental goals, overseen by a BCBA
  • Evidence-based methods, including:
    • Discrete Trial Training (DTT): teaching skills in small, measurable steps
    • Natural Environment Teaching (NET): embedding learning in daily activities
    • Verbal Behavior (VB): building language, communication, and social skills
  • Ongoing data collection, progress monitoring, and plan adjustments
  • Collaboration with families, schools, and related providers

This service is designed to:

  • Strengthen communication and language skills
  • Improve social skills and peer relationships
  • Build independence in daily living activities
  • Support school readiness and classroom participation
  • Reduce challenging behaviors using positive behavior strategies

Why This Service Matters

Consistent, individualized ABA can help children learn effectively across settings. By pairing targeted instruction with family coaching, we support meaningful growth in the classroom, at home, and in the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many hours of ABA will my child receive each week?

Intensity depends on your child's age, needs, and goals. Many children receive 10–40 hours per week. A BCBA completes an assessment and recommends the frequency that best supports progress and your family's schedule.

How does individual ABA differ from group ABA?

Individual sessions provide one-to-one attention for highly personalized instruction and intensive skill building—useful for addressing specific behaviors and establishing foundational skills.

Where do sessions take place?

In school, at home, in the community, in our clinic, or virtually—based on the child's goals, family preferences, and program authorizations.
